2024 Inglis Australian Eater Yearling Sale

From the first southern hemisphere crop of Coolmore Stud's Wootton Bassett which have sold upo to $2.1m so far this year, Lot 15 is the first foal of the Group 3-winning Maschino mare Fabergino, who was good enough to finish fourth in the Group 1 Lightning Stakes.

Out of the family that includes Group 1 winner Camino Rose and Group 3 winners Lubiton and Twitchy Frank, this filly is out of a mare by Maschino who to date has not been represented by a large number of runners as a broodmare sire, but if you look at Encosta de Lago in the same position in the family, you will note that the broodmare sireline has produced 34 stakes performers including Group 1 winners Roch 'N' Horse, Capital Gain, Peggy Jean and Communist.

A bay colt by Newgate Farm’s Gr1-producing sire Capitalist, the first foal of the dual Gr2-winning, Gr1 placed Brazen Beau mare Pretty Brazen, herself a half-sister to stakes winners Sertorius (Galileo), Dollar For Dollar (High Chaparral), Pretty Amazing (American Pharoah) and Clifton Red (Sebring), in fact all foals to race out of Pretty Brazen’s dam are winners and each have achieved black type for their pedigree, and outstanding endorsement for the family.

Although Brazen Beau as a broodmare sire has very limited numbers to date, his sire I Am Invincible has recorded nine individual stakes performers so far including Group 2 winners Kimochi, Straight Charge and Asfoora.
