Torryburn's sale season is now over for the year with a total of 58 horses passing through the ring between February's Inglis Classic and the Inglis Classic Book 2 in May.

Our team received many comments from buyers and other vendors noting how well presented the Torryburn horses were this year. We put this down to a new feeding program, improved pasture and the addition of Vanessa Benson, recruited as Yearling Manager late last year. The top priced yearlings included a colt offered at Classic by Snitzel out of the Gulch mare Crevice, sold toPlatinum Park Enterprises for $220K to be trained by Gerald Ryan and the Sebring colt out of Miss Brightman which sold at Easter for $180K to Terry O'Sullivan and Randwick Bloodstock.

It was also fantastic to receive support from prominent syndicators such as Prime Thoroughbreds, Darby Racing, Dynamic Syndications and Malua Bloodstockas well as leading trainers Aquanita Racing, Paul Perry, Terry O'Sullivan, Queensland's Stuart Kendrick, up and coming Victorian trainer Henry Dwyer and local Hunter Valley trainer Pat Farrell who all purchased yearlings.

A series of dispersal's for our clients and ourselves saw a draft of 30 mares and weanlings offered at the Inglis Australian Broodmare and Weanling sale this month. Torryburn achieved a 100% clearance at this sale achieving a top price of $280K for the mare Aliberani (pictured). Lucky for us this beautiful mare was purchased by bloodstock agent Ric Wylie for a very good Torryburn client and she will return to us to foal her 2016 foal by Dissident.
