Breeding Season Looms

We are now in the midst of finalising our stallion nominations for the 2016 breeding season and whilst the thought of another busy season can sometimes `seem daunting, we are very excited to have this year secured the services of one of the finest reproductive vets in the field. Whilst we have worked with Dr. Cecilia Cortina di Favria DVM on a casual basis in the past, we have secured her services as our usual reproductive vet for the upcoming season. Cecilia graduated from the university of Pise, Italy in 2002. After two years in equine practice she started a Diagnostic Imaging Internship at the University of Liege, Belgium. She came to Australia in 2005 working 2 breeding seasons at Arrowfield Stud. This was followed by a locum at Randwick Equine Centre taking yearling survey radiographs.  After fifteen months in mixed practice, she eventually joined Newcastle Equine Centre at the beginning of 2009. Her professional interests include equine reproduction and diagnostic imaging.
