Cranbourne, July 3 - Champion sire Fastnet Rock posted his second debut juvenile winner this week when Fastnet Diva saluted at Cranbourne on Thursday for the Hawkes Racing team.

A $220,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Torryburn Stud draft, Fastnet Diva led throughout and fought on strongly to defy all challengers and win the 1200 metre maiden by a short head.

Bred by Tony and Joe Bongiorno and foaled and raised at Torryburn, Fastnet Diva is the third winner from three foals to race from Lucky Diva, a Group III winning sibling to stakes-winners Spirit of Westbury, Gina Lollawitcha and Duke of Westbury.

Lucky Diva has a yearling full sister to Fastnet Diva and a Redoute’s Choice weanling colt with a foal due this spring by Commands.
