Jessy Belle Wins Again
Moonee Valley, December 28 – Scoring another determined win at Moonee Valley on Saturday was promising filly Jessy Belle, a $75,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the draft of Torryburn Stud.
Prepared by Luke Oliver, the daughter of Rock of Gibraltar (IRE) has been in hot form since breaking her maiden at Kilmore on November 12.
Last start she claimed a lucrative $50,000 Inglis bonus when winning at Moonee Valley and looked just as good when scoring again at the same venue albeit stepped up to the 1600 metres for the first time.
She covered ground but still proved too good in forging clear to win by half a length, her overall record now three wins and two placings from six starts with prizemoney nearing $150,000.
“She’s had a fantastic preparation and has now won two in a row at The Valley,” said Luke Oliver.
“People keep underestimating her and she keeps getting the job done.
“She’ll have a short spell now and a freshen up for the autumn. She was strong at the mile so maybe the Oaks in South Australia will be an option.”
Bred by Bennelong Bloodstock and consigned for sale by Torryburn, Jessy Belle is the first winner for well-bred metropolitan winner Unconditional Love, a daughter of dual Group I winner Flitter.
Torryburn Stud will be presenting another stunning collection of yearlings at sales in 2014 starting with six for Magic Millions and 12 for Inglis Classic.
