Memento Breaks Maiden

Promising Your Song filly Memento lived up to her name last week and added a lovely memento to the trophy cabinet as a result of her first race win at Warwick Farm. The three year old home bred filly out Snapshots ran away from the field at the 200m mark to finish in front by one and a half lengths.

Beautifully ridden by Blake Shinn, the Anthony and Ed Cummings trained filly has always shown promise but this campaign seems to have matured and strengthened to score at her seventh start.

"She was very professional, it's the first time she's actually got it all together - clean out of the gates, she took a position and then came away in the end," Cummings said.

"That's the perfect result in terms of her education and I think from here now she'll go up into better grades and be effective."

We are looking forward to seeing what she can do this preparation and are hopeful to add some black type success to her pedigree.
