The 2016 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale proved an outstanding success for Torryburn Stud, selling eight of the nine yearlings offered and one of the top priced yearlings of the sale.

Purchased by Platinum Park Enterprizes, the Snitzel colt out of Crevice was a standout and bought $220,000 – the highest priced Snitzel over the three day sale.  He will be trained by the king of the Snitzel trainers in Gerald Ryan.

Also topping the list of the twenty one yearlings by Denman to step through the ring, was Torryburn’s offering of the colt out of De Chorus.  Recording the highest price for the Darley stallion of $90,000, the athletic grey colt was purchased by Aquanita Racing.  We wish them all the best of luck with him.

Coming off the back of an extremely strong Magic Millions sale in January, Torryburn this year made the decision to concentrate on the Inglis sales and to hold back several of what we would consider ‘Magic Millions and Easter quality’ yearlings and market them through this Inglis Classic sale.

John Cornish was delighted with the sale results.  “To position these horses at the top of end of the second tier sale gives us a much better chance to showcase these particular horses and they certainly stood out”, he said.  “It also allows us to reduce the numbers of our Easter Yearling draft so they too have every chance to show why they should be there amongst the elite”, he continued.

Our Inglis Easter Yearlings have now been in from the paddock for several weeks and our Yearling Manager Vanessa Benson will today head back from Sydney to continue their preparation with her hardworking team.  We can’t wait to present our Easter draft and photos, pedigrees and videos will be accessible on our website in March.  Catalogues are now available from Inglis at inglis.com.au.
