Third Win for Taltarni

The Torryburn Stud colours were carried to victory at Newcastle on Saturday 28 November by well-bred Stratum mare Taltarni, a three-quarter sister to Group II ATC Silver Slipper winner Chance Bye.

Prepared by Craig Carmody, Taltarni surged to the line to win by three-quarters of a length over 1350 metres, her third win from 12 starts.

Bred and retained to race by the Cornish family, Taltarni is the last foal of good producer Rouge Femme who died in 2012, so she will be a lovely broodmare for the future.

Another of Rouge Femme’s daughters, the Choisir mare Lustful, is already at stud for Torryburn and produced a colt by I Am Invincible this spring.
