Torryburn Delighted with Parfaits Foal

September 26 – Earlier this year Torryburn Stud had the good fortune to purchase 10 year-old mare Parfaits from the Darley draft at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $165,000 and just weeks after the sale her first born foal Sonntag won the Group I BRC Queensland Derby.

A half-sister by Strategic to Group I winning sprinter Flavour and to the dam of Group III winner Raspberries, Parfaits is from the former smart sprinter Ice Cream Sundae, a daughter of Victoria Derby winner and successful sire Sovereign Red.

She was offered in foal to Denman and the result of that mating is this beautiful bay filly.

“We are just delighted with the type of foal she has thrown,” said  Stud Manager Reggie Blundell.

“The filly has great scope, good leg and is very balanced.”

Parfaits is booked to visit Widden Stud’s progressive sire Sebring, who will cover his best ever book of mares this year which includes Black Caviar.
